NGO Vacancy - Muslim Aid (Yogyakarta)

Livelihoods with our Field Office based in Banda Aceh, and further sub-offices in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Padang.

Under Service Contract between Muslim Aid - International Migration Organization
(IOM) Yogyakarta to provides a high qualification Technical Support Staff to IOM Yogyakarta, Muslim Aid Yogyakarta is currently looking for a qualified and committed candidate to fill the following position:

1. Position title : Programme Logistics Assistant

Duty Station : Yogyakarta, Indonesia

GrossSalary : Rp. 2.100.000,00

General functions:

Under the overall supervision of the Livelihood Programme Manager and the direct supervision of the Programme Logistics Coordinator (PLC), the incumbent will assist the PLC in the implementation of logistics activities within Livelihood Programme, with particular assignments as follows:

In coordination with IOM Procurement unit, perform field surveys regarding items will be distributed as program’s assistance package and for asset replacement, including: efficient delivery/distributi on route, vendor ability, and fidelity
to beneficiary requirement. In coordination with Training Unit (TU) and or Community Engagement Unit (CEU), conduct socialization amongst communities; ensuring that communities are well informed about the incentive scheme, the calculation, and catalogue usage as reference. In coordination with other unit, particularly the CEU, assist in distribution and handover process of livelihood assets to beneficiaries. Perform
daily logistics supporting activities on field, include meals distribution and maintaining accurate record and updates of incentive points data.Ensuring communities receive assistances packages according to the accurate records produced by the Unit and well coordinated with the related parties.In coordination with TU and CEU, perform logistics support during the programme events, such as asset distribution, training graduation and MSE’s exhibition conducted within areas of implementation or other location. Prepare and ensure that every logistics transaction recorded accurately in a standard IOM document (e.g. Receiving Report, Waybill, Deed of Donation, etc).Ensure that all items and goods delivered to communities in a good quality and respecting the timely manner.Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Desirable Qualifications:

Associate degree, preferably University Degree in Social Science, Engineering, or alternatively, a combination of related education and professional experience.Attentio n to detail.Ability to work in a clean accountable and transparent work system and respecting IOM codes of conduct.Willingness to spend amount of time in the field and or the remote area.Computer literate in MS Word and MS Excel, E-mail and other office software. Ability in using Corel is a plus.Able to work in a tight deadline.Honest, flexible, drive for results, respect for diversity, creative thinking, and punctual. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate ability to work effectively in team situations. Fluency in Javanese and or English ability is advantageous. Women are encouraged to apply.

2. Position title : Market Research Assistant

Duty Station : Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Gross Salary : Rp. 4,300,000

Type of Contract: Special, 1 month (with possibility extension)

Under the overall supervision of the Programme Manger and the direct supervision of the Market Research Coordinator, the Market Research Assistant will be responsible to
conduct market research on selected economic sectors as part of the Java Reconstruction Fund (JRF) Livelihood project, implemented in Yogyakarta and Central Java. In particular, he/she will:

General Functions:

Assist the Market Research Coordinator to implement research activities, working closely with beneficiaries, communities, partners in government and civil society and other market players;Execute data collecting activities for the selected economic sectors, including conducting literature studies, observations, interviews, questionnaire surveys, focus group discussions and other activities;Carry out data entry of collected data during the data collection activities in a effective, efficient and user friendly manner;Pro actively participate in the data analysis and discussion in regards to the market research activities and results;Draft high quality market research
reports Carry out regular documentation of mgeneral economic trends and market developments in the region that may affect or create opportunities on the selected sectors within the Java Reconstruction Fund project;Working closely with the Community Engagement Unit on disseminating information in regards to the selected
sectors; Liaise and work closely with any consultants and/or partner organization in regards to market access initiatives under the Project;Prepare and organize any
workshop or seminar in order disseminate findings from the market research;Contribute to on-going technical assistance and capacity building on market information for micro- and small enterprises/ beneficiaries under the Project;Perform other duties as assigned by the Market Research Coordinator/ Programme Manager.

Desired qualifications:

University degree, preferably in Social sciences or alternatively, a combination of related education and professional experience.At least 1 year of relevant
professional experience in the livelihood sector and/or research.Good research skills and knowledge.Experienc e in conducting interviews, community facilitation, conducting surveys, and providing technical advice.Experience in preparation of reports and official correspondence. Computer literate (word-processing, spreadsheet, e-mail exchange).A high level of personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results, respect for diversity, creative thinking.Fluency in Javanese is preferred; English ability is advantageousGood interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to establish priorities and undertake assigned tasks with minimum supervisionAble to work independently, and under pressure.
