TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the line management of the Program Director, the Disability Rights Project Manager will be responsible to coordinate and implement the activities related to the project “Towards the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Indonesian people with disabilities.” The tasks in particular are:

Ensure proper planning, implementation and review of the activitiesExplore opportunities and support the development of actions enhancing the capacities of people with disabilities and their DPO’S, to promote their rights across the areas chosen.Line manage team and in charge of recruitment new team member Liaise with international organizations, government agencies, and disability NGOs, DPOs to increase their involvement in the rights movement for PWDs.Develop budget activities in coordination with the partners and HI administration, monitor the budget for project activities and produce financial forecasts with respect to established proceduresReporting to the Program Director and donorsDocument case studies to share learning opportunities with partners and donors.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Desired:

MA (S2) in Social Sciences or Law5 years of experience working with civil society organizations or disabled people organizations on issues related to capacity building and advocacy

Essential:

Good understanding of concepts and issues, laws and policies related to the human
rights of people with disabilities Good knowledge on local organization capacity buildingExperience with managing relationships with partnersFluency in English

Initial contract will be for a period of two months with a possibility of renewal up to 24 months
