UNFPA invites applications from qualified Indonesian Professionals for the following position:

Post Title : Programme Officer ( PO )
Closing Date:25 March 2009
Duty Station:Bappenas, Jakarta
Report to :National Programme Manager
Contract system– to Bappenas, renewed per annually based on performance appraisal.

Main Duty:
Assist
the National Programme Manager in supervision and coordination on
United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Programme activities,
particularly in monitoring the programme implementation and as a
liaison to the government officials from related ministry.
1. Conduct
intensive coordination with Director of Population, Women Empowerment,
and Child Protection regarding to the implementation of Country
Programme activities inline with Bappenas Role as Government
Coordinating Agency (GCA).
2. Give
technical assistant to Bappenas regarding the implementation of Country
Programme activities, particularly in monitoring and evaluation at all
area of 7th Country Programme.
3. Prepare joint monitoring activities in coordination with UNFPA M&E Programme Officer.
4. In coordination with PCO, PPM, DPM, and PC in monitoring and evaluation.
5. Ensure
the reports are submitted in timely manner and provide a written
analysis and recommendation to Director of Population, Women
Empowerment
, and Child Protection.
6. Review
the performance and progress of the programme, identify any problem and
give input for necessary action to solve the problem in timely manner.

Requirements:
1. Master’s degree in Health, Social, Development or other related fields.
2. Experience in project management particularly in programme monitoring and evaluation.
3. A minimum of 4 years working experience is required.
4. Experience in working with government institutions, NGOs or donor organization
5. Familiar with issues on population, reproductive health and gender in Indonesia
6. A strong capability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written English also in academic writing.
7. Ability to work in a team and under minimal supervision.
8. Good in communication and public relation.
