LOWONGAN NGO / LSM - FINANCE OFFICER

Indonesiafaces a range of natural hazards including flooding, earthquakes
and drought. Over the last three years, some 255,000 people have lost their
lives to natural disasters and conflict. A further 1.4 million people have been
displaced.
We are starting a new project in Donggala
funded by DipEcho. The project will focus on disaster risk reduction in that
area. To support the programme, we are looking for a Finance
Officer to based in Makassar. The contract periodis up to January 2010.

Your task is to assist the Programme
Manager with the financial management of the project. This includes training
and briefings for all project staff on procedures and ensuring that financial
systems are adhered to by all levels of personnel and comply with organization
procedures.
You will regularly provide management
with a statement of expenditure against budget on the programme on a regular
basis and that will assist project planning and delivery and you will also
responsible for preparing financial reports for internal and external
stakeholders. You will become the key person for partner financial management system and controls including conducting financial assessment and
partner capacity building.

You should have at least a 3 year experience
in finance, good working knowledge of spreadsheets essential and previous
experience of working with on line accounting systems required. Well developed
interpersonal and team skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding
situations.
Ideally the candidate has INGO
background and understanding of DIPECHO requirements.
