INA- Indonesian Netherlands Association, an Indonesian Benelux Chamber of Commerce is looking for an Indonesian qualified candidate of Business Development and Marketing for its Horti Chain Center.
In January 2009 INA launched the development of Horti Chain Centre (HCC), a horticultural supply chain development centre. The objective of this centre is to create local capacity building to help small scale horticulture growers (and their organizations) to connect with modern inside and outside Indonesia. For this the HCC will develop through trained supply chains facilitators and by providing knowledge and information about markets and supply chain partners, opportunities and commercial financial facilities.
The main objective of this service is to strengthen the position of the parties involved in HCC and to boost the growth of investment and trade activities in the sector.
2. Requested Expertise
For the HCC, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague whom wants to strengthen our team. The expertise we are looking for should have professional background:
* Degree in economics or business administration, with emphasis on marketing, communication, public relations and/or
* at least 3 years of practical experience in marketing and business development positions
* Preferably with knowledge and experience about the fresh and processed agro-food sector.

The tasks of the assigned expert are:
a. Identifying potential and opportunities for cooperation among the relevant stakeholders in horticulture supply chains and facilitating business matchmaking: negotiating strategic alliance; hosting business meeting; facilitating discussion platform.
c. : information about markets and opportunities and barriers for horticultural business; brand; product and market analyzing; investment opportunities
d. Networking: develop networking opportunities via linking to other conferences/ events; stakeholders consultation event and establish networks with relevant partners in selected sectors on national/internatio nal level.
e. Develop a concept for .
f. Implement the concept of regional marketing in collaboration with HCC partners.
g. Conduct impact monitoring and evaluation activities
h. Provide relevant inputs for publications and internal reports in English.
i. Support the recruitment and management of external expert/s.
j. Design, organize and facilitate training activities with local partners.
Regular progress reports and result in soft copy format:
a.. List of potential customers
b.. Number of successful partnerships created and served
c.. Market report and
d.. Strategy in entrepreneurships development and business planning
· Alternative mechanism to increase productivity and to generate the income/funds that will need to ensure sustainability of HCC
5. Time Frame
The facilitator will start in May 2009. The assignment will be completed by December 2010 with a possibility for extension in case the services of HCC have been developed in a successful way. The facilitator will be based in Jakarta. Extensive travel within Indonesia may be necessary.
6. Amendments of the Terms of Reference
