Project Director
The PD will provide leadership and direction of all project activities to support the following goals:
· Withdraw and prevent children from involvement in exploitive child labor through the provision of direct educational services;
· Strengthen policies on child labor and education, the capacity of national institutions to combat child labor, and formal and transitional education systems that encourage children engaged in or at risk of engaging in exploitive labor to attend school
· Raise awareness of the importance of education for all children and mobilizing a wide array of actors to improve and expand education infrastructures
· Support research and the collection of reliable data on child labor
· Ensure the long-term sustainability of these efforts.
Requirements Include:
· 7+ years of extensive international development experience managing large project requirements including USAID or USDOL project management experience or previous employment on a USAID-funded project.
· Experience in managing inter-agency consortiums.
· Working knowledge of exploitive child labor issues, particularly of the worst forms of child labor and commercially sexually exploited children..
· Experience managing or designing vocational training and education programs for children.
· Experience working/living in Indonesia.
· Working knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesian
Education Specialist
The Education Specialist will provide leadership in designing and implementing technical elements to support the following goals:
· Withdraw and prevent children from involvement in exploitive child labor through the provision of direct educational services;
· Strengthen policies on child labor and education, the capacity of national institutions to combat child labor, and formal and transitional education systems that encourage children engaged in or at risk of engaging in exploitive labor to attend school
· Raise awareness of the importance of education for all children and mobilizing a wide array of actors to improve and expand education infrastructures
· Support research and the collection of reliable data on child labor
· Ensure the long-term sustainability of these efforts.
Requirements:
· Four + years experience in formal/non-formal basic education projects in developing countries in areas including student assessment, teacher training, educational materials/ curriculum development, community participation in education, educational management, and educational monitoring and information systems. Masters degree preferred.
· Substantial experience working with ministries of education, networks of educators, employers' organizations, and trade unions or comparable entities. · Must be able to work in a cross-cultural environment with multiple deadlines and high demands
· Working knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesian required.
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will coordinate and lead the monitoring and evaluation efforts to support the following goals:
· Withdraw and prevent children from involvement in exploitive child labor through the provision of direct educational services;
· Strengthen policies on child labor and education, the capacity of national institutions to combat child labor, and formal and transitional education systems that encourage children engaged in or at risk of engaging in exploitive labor to attend school

Requirements Include:
· Master’s degree in an appropriate field
· Five years of progressively responsible experience monitoring and evaluating community development programs in an international context
· Substantial experience employing participatory M&E techniques, with particular regard to monitoring commercially sexually exploited children.
· Experience managing USG grants or contracts
· Demonstrated experience respecting the security, dignity and self-worth of those participating in monitoring and evaluations activities
· Working knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesian required.

Overall Summary:
The Combating Exploitive Child Labor through Education proposed project is a $5.5 million, four (4) year program with the purpose of improving access to and quality of education programs for children in Indonesia as a means to combat exploitive child labor in areas with high incidences. In Indonesia, children are at high risk for engaging in domestic work and plantation agriculture, and they are also at greater risk for being trafficked for commercial sexual exploitation or forced labor.
The Project Director will be responsible for the overall management and oversight of the four year project, with a total project value of $5.5 million for project implementation. This position will provide strategic and operational leadership to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate an integrated development project that will achieve measurable impact on vulnerable children, families and communities. Also provide overall management and oversight of sub contracts issued to subcontractors (i.e. local NGOs) for specific activities.
This position will liaise closely with the International Labor Organization' s International Program on the Elimination of Child Labor's (ILO/IPEC) time bound program on the Elimination of WFCL (Worst Forms of Child Labor); and will collaborate with the National Action Committee on Child Labor and the National Task Force on Suppressing Trafficking; directly collaborate with the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, Ministry of Social Affairs, and Ministry of National Education. The Project Director is also expected to guide collaboration with relevant civil society organizations as relevant.

• Represent Christian Children's Fund and the project in formal and informal relationships with the United States Department of Labor (USDOL), the US Embassy/USAID, associates and subcontractors, government authorities and other stakeholders, as appropriate.

• Establish and maintain systems for project operations and ensure that project targets are achieved
• Lead the preparation of annual work plans and oversee the production of reports and other deliverables to USDOL.
• Supervise project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation in a manner consistent with Christian Children's Fund's working principles.
• Develop appropriate project interventions that target children under 15 who are at risk for dropping out of school and who live in areas of high prevalence of exploitive child labor
• Develop appropriate project interventions for children 15 to 17 years to prevent entry into exploitive labor, and design relevant approaches that encourage this age group to engage in acceptable employment
